Accessibility

Last updated April 24, 2026

LRI Press designs for readers with a range of abilities and reading styles. Our goal is to meet or exceed Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA across the site and every digital edition we publish.

Digital editions

Every EPUB we ship is validated against EPUBCheck 5, uses semantic markup and logical reading order, embeds alt text for every non-decorative image, and supports adjustable typography in any conformant reader.

PDFs

PDFs are tagged, include a document-outline bookmark tree, and preserve heading hierarchy so screen readers can navigate by chapter and section.

Site

The storefront uses high-contrast typography on warm surfaces, keyboard-accessible navigation, focus-visible outlines, and respects prefers-reduced-motion.
