A practical reference for New York homeowners association residents.
This edition is being built for residents who need to understand the association’s authority, identify the record or rule that answers a question, and choose a proportionate next step. It will follow the same calm, source-grounded resident architecture established by the Florida Co-Op Resident Handbook.
Source foundation
The community’s recorded covenants, actual organizational form and governing documents, applicable New York and local law, and relevant federal protections. The edition will not assume that every HOA operates under the same statute.
